Ultrasound

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a physiotherapy that uses the cycle of compression and dilation of frequency waves. The maximum absorption in soft tissues oscillates in the range of 2 to 5 cm and the intensity decreases, when the waves penetrate more deeply.

They are absorbed primarily by the connective tissue: ligaments, tendons, fascia and scar tissue.

Ultrasonic physiotherapy is usually recommended for the treatment of muscles and joints.
